Experience a Truly Unique Corner of the World on this Alaska Boat Tour
Join us as we travel up the stunning Stikine River through small side channels of the river known as ‘sloughs’ to reach the river’s many destinations. The headwaters of the Stikine River is in British Columbia and flows 400 miles to saltwater near Wrangell, Alaska, the “Gateway to the Stikine”. Named by the Tlingit Indians, Stikine River means “Great River” and a tour exploring the best it has to offer is not to be missed. Shakes Glacier is the feature of this tour, at the far end of a massive glacier lake that it resides in. Depending on river height, enjoy a soak in the Chief Shakes hot springs, located just upstream of the glacier.
Note: This is a half-day tour. If you’re looking for a multi-day tour of the Stikine River, check out the Stikine River Excursion offering, run by our partners at Summit Charters.
